Nintendo Announces Switch 2 'Pokémon Pokopia' Bundle
Australia and New Zealand are getting a Nintendo Switch 2 Bundled with Pokopia
Nintendo has officially pulled back the curtain on its newest hardware offering: the Nintendo Switch 2 Pokémon Pokopia Bundle.
Following the massive success of the social simulation hit Pokémon Pokopia—which cleared over 2.2 million units in its first four days back in March—Nintendo is looking to keep that momentum going. This new bundle is designed for fans who haven’t yet made the jump to the next-gen hardware but are itching to dive into the most creative Pokémon experience to date.
What’s in the Box?
The bundle includes the standard Nintendo Switch 2 console and a full digital download code for Pokémon Pokopia.
In a move that mirrors the recent Mario Kart World and Pokémon Legends: Z-A bundles, Nintendo is opting for a digital copy rather than a physical cartridge. While some collectors may be disappointed by the lack of a game-key card in the box, the bundle offers a streamlined way to get into the action immediately.
Currently, the bundle has been officially confirmed for Australia and New Zealand, with a scheduled release date of June 5, 2026.
Why Pokopia is a Must-Play
For those out of the loop, Pokémon Pokopia is a departure from the traditional "catch and battle" formula. Co-developed by Game Freak and Omega Force, it’s a social sim where you play as a Ditto imitating a human.
Your goal? To rebuild a post-apocalyptic Kanto by crafting habitats, befriending Pokémon, and using their unique abilities to terraform the land. Think Animal Crossing meets Minecraft, but with the charm and depth of the Pokémon universe. It’s easily one of the highest-rated titles on the Switch 2 so far, and this bundle is the perfect entry point.
