Hi-Fi Rush Rated for Switch

Is the wait finally over for Hi-Fi Rush on Switch?

The "will they, won't they" saga of Chai and the gang heading to Nintendo hardware has taken its most definitive turn yet. A new rating for Hi-Fi RUSH has surfaced on the PEGI (Pan European Game Information) database specifically for the Nintendo Switch, suggesting that one of the most beloved rhythm-action games of the generation is finally making the jump to the hybrid console.

A Long Time Coming

Since its explosive shadow-drop on Xbox and PC back in 2023, Hi-Fi RUSH has been at the center of multi-platform speculation. While the game eventually made its way to PlayStation 5, the Nintendo Switch version remained a "ghost" in the machine. This new rating confirms that a port is not only real but likely finished, as ratings typically occur in the final stages of a game's publishing cycle.

Performance Speculation: Switch or Switch 2?

The big question is how this high-fidelity, rhythm-dependent title will handle the aging Switch hardware. Hi-Fi RUSH relies on a rock-solid 60FPS to ensure the combat timing feels perfect. While the original Switch is capable of great ports (see Doom Eternal or Persona 5 Royal), many believe this rating might actually be targeting the Nintendo Switch 2.

The Tango Gameworks Legacy

Seeing Hi-Fi RUSH continue to expand to new platforms is a bittersweet victory for fans. Following the acquisition of Tango Gameworks by Krafton, this release ensures that the studio's masterpiece reaches the widest possible audience. It’s a win for game preservation and a win for anyone who hasn't yet experienced the joy of hitting a robot with a guitar made of scrap metal to the beat of a Nine Inch Nails track.
