Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase Announced for February 5, 2026
Nintendo Confirms Partner Showcase for February 5th
After weeks of speculation, Nintendo has officially announced that a new Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase will take place tomorrow, Thursday, February 5th.
This broadcast marks the next presentation in a series that kick started at the end of January 2026. The presentation is scheduled to be approximately 30 minutes long and will focus on titles coming to the Nintendo Switch family of systems from Nintendo’s publishing and development partners.
Broadcast Schedule
The presentation will be streamed via Nintendo’s official YouTube and Twitch channels. For those in the UK and Europe, the timings are as follows:
UK & Ireland: 2:00 PM GMT
Europe: 3:00 PM CET
East Coast, US: 9:00 AM
West Coast, US: 6:00 AM
What to Expect
As this is specifically a Partner Showcase, the focus will remain on third-party developers. This means we are unlikely to see updates on internal Nintendo projects like the next Legend of Zelda or Mario titles. Instead, the spotlight will be on the external studios that support the platform.
Given the current release calendar, several titles are expected to make an appearance:
Third-Party Ports: We expect to see more high-profile titles being optimized for the Switch 2, following the hardware's successful launch period.
Indie Highlights: Smaller "Nindie" developers often use these showcases to announce shadow drops or firm release dates.
The Out of Sync Take
Partner Showcases are often more interesting than the primary Directs because they highlight the variety of games that sit outside the usual Nintendo staples. In a year where the hardware transition is still the main talking point, seeing how third-party developers are utilizing the new system’s capabilities will give us a clearer picture of what the library will look like for the rest of 2026.
Look out for the Out of Sync Gaming Podcast live stream while we comment on the announcements as they happen.
