Nintendo Partner Direct Feb 2026: All Games, Trailers, and Release Dates

The biggest announcements from today’s Nintendo Partner Showcase

Today’s Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase was a whirlwind of 30 minutes, proving that even while the "Switch 2" era is in full swing, third-party developers still have plenty of surprises for both current and next-gen hardware. From Bethesda heavyweights to surprise "shadow drops," here is your complete breakdown of everything announced on February 5, 2026.

Orbital is a Switch 2 Exclusive

The 80’s Japanima inspired two player game looks incredible. It was a hit when it was shown at The Game Awards, and the fact that the game is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive when it launches later this year - is the biggest surprise.

The "Big Three" from Bethesda

Bethesda stole the spotlight with three massive announcements for the Nintendo Switch 2, bringing some of their most iconic worlds to a handheld format with updated performance.

  • Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The whip-cracking adventurer arrives on May 12, 2026. Optimized for Switch 2, it features haptic feedback integration for Indy’s whip.

  • Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition: Celebrating a decade of the Commonwealth, this version includes all six DLCs and over 150 Creation Club items. It launches digitally on February 24, with a physical release following on April 28.

  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered: In the "one more thing" of the show, Todd Howard appeared to confirm that the gates of Oblivion are opening on Switch 2 later in 2026.

Major Ports & Next-Gen Upgrades

Several modern classics are finally making the jump to Nintendo’s latest hardware.

  • Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: Following the success of Remake on Switch 2, the sequel lands on June 3, 2026.

  • Hollow Knight: Switch 2 Edition: A massive surprise "shadow drop"—the original Hollow Knight received a free Switch 2 upgrade later today, featuring enhanced resolution and a locked 60 FPS.

  • Valheim: The Viking survival hit is officially coming to Switch 2 later this year, featuring cross-play support.

  • Resident Evil Requiem: Capcom showcased new gameplay of the next survival horror entry, confirming a February 27 launch alongside a new line of Resident Evil amiibo.

New Reveals & Indie Spotlights

The Direct wasn't just about ports; several new titles and sequels made their debut, ranging from high-octane sports to psychological horror.

  • Tokyo Scramble – Launching on February 11, 2026, for Switch 2.

  • Paranormasight: The Mermaid’s Curse – Arriving on the original Switch on February 19, 2026.

  • Monster Hunter Stories 3 – Coming to Switch 2 on March 13, 2026.

  • Pragmata – The long-awaited Capcom title lands on Switch 2 on April 24, 2026.

  • The Adventure of Elliot – A whimsical new platformer for Switch 2, scheduled for June 18, 2026.

Retro & Niche Announcements

Console Archives: A new expansion to the Arcade Archives line, focusing on bringing classic home console games to the eShop. The first wave includes Cool Boarders and Ninja Gaiden II, available later today.

The Out of Sync Take

The biggest surprise for me was the confirmation that Orbital is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive! Pragmata’s demo is very enticing and already downloaded on my Switch 2. And FF VII Rebirth arriving in June is sure going to be a hit.
