PS Plus January 2026 Announced!
Resident Evil Village and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Lead a Massive Month!
If you’ve been looking for a reason to upgrade your PlayStation Plus subscription to Extra or Premium, January 20th is your day. Sony has officially announced the Game Catalog for the month, and it is arguably one of the strongest "one-two punches" we've seen in a long time.
From survival horror royalty to the sprawling streets of Honolulu, here is a deep dive into the highlights of the January 2026 lineup.
Capcom is bringing Ethan Winters' second nightmare to the catalog at the perfect time. With Resident Evil: Requiem set to launch next month, this is your chance to catch up on the story. If you loved the classic vibe of RE4, Village feels like a modern love letter to it—blending intense action with some of the most memorable (and tall) villains in gaming history.
Infinite Wealth is the biggest Yakuza/Like a Dragon game to date, taking Ichiban Kasuga and the legendary Kazuma Kiryu to Hawaii. It’s a massive turn-based RPG packed with emotion, humor, and a literal "Dondoko Island" life-sim mode that could easily eat 50 hours of your life on its own.
While the AAA titles get the spotlight, the mid-tier additions this month are incredibly solid:
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead (PS5 Exclusive): A tense stealth experience where making a sound in real life (via your controller's mic) can actually alert the monsters in-game.
Darkest Dungeon II: The grueling, atmospheric roguelike sequel that’s all about the psychological toll of adventuring. It’s a perfect "one more run" game for Steam Deck or PlayStation portal owners.
A Little to the Left: If the stress of Resident Evil is too much, this cozy organizing puzzle game is the perfect palate cleanser. Just watch out for the cat!
The Exit 8: A short, viral "liminal space" horror game that’s perfect for a quick evening session.
For the Premium subscribers, the classic catalog adds the original Ridge Racer (PS1). This version comes with the modern QoL features we've come to expect: up-rendering, rewind, and quick-save. It joins Ridge Racer 2 and Type 4 already on the service, making PS Plus the ultimate destination for Namco racing fans.
Before the new games arrive, you have just a few days left to play these titles before they depart:
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name (Finish this before playing Infinite Wealth!)
Sayonara Wild Hearts (A short, must-play musical masterpiece).
SD Gundam Battle Alliance
Monopoly Plus
